Hybrid inverter
The main task of an on-grid inverter is to convert the direct current generated by the PV array into usable alternating current. Hybrid inverters go one step further and work with batteries to store excess power. In developing countries, hybrid inverters are more of a necessity to compensate for weak or intermittent grids or a lack of electricity network.
The hybrid inverters from Deye include single-phase 3kW/3.6kW/5kW/8kW and three-phase 8kW/10kW/12kW, and they all use a 48V battery.
The grid-interactive inverter consists of various hardware elements. The grid-interactive inverter controls and monitors the connection of electricity from the power plants. In addition, it also regulates the disconnection of excess power from the power plants. It provides power during peak hours based on demand. In case the excess power is disconnected, the inverter prevents power outage by switching the supply of electricity to the systems that require it the most. Grid-interactive inverter can also be used to switch the direct supply from the main power plants to a grid-to-grid connection.
